Public Meetings
The Worcestershire CCG Governing Body minutes and reports can be found here. Governing Body meetings are held in public, and the public are able to ask questions. The Primary Care Committee is also held in public and the details of the meetings are available here.
Patient Advisory Group
Sarah Harvey Speck chairs the Patient Advisory Group (PAG). The PAG reports directly into Governing Body and its notes are submitted as part of the Patient and Public Involvement Highlight report at every meeting. These reports can be accessed here.
One of the key responsibilities of PAG is to involve patients in assuring the CCG in relation to public involvement. The full Terms of Reference for the Patient Advisory Group are available here.
Working Together
As part of the Sustainability and Transformation Partnership (STP), Communications and Engagement staff meet regularly and work together across Herefordshire and Worcestershire.
Integrated Care is at the heart of the STP. The CCGs have two Supporting Lay Representatives who are listening to and involving patients across the health system and representing their views on the Alliance Boards. Find out more here.
The Supporting Lay Member Representatives ensure commissioners, providers and partners across the system have a strong focus on improving health outcomes, addressing inequalities and variations in health outcomes and experience and delivering value for money for the population of Worcestershire.
Patient Involvement Teams from all public sector organisations across Worcestershire meet at the quarterly 'Engagement Officers Network'. These meetings enable strong relationships and partnership working across organisations. Joint initiatives are raised and developed at these meetings, leading to greater engagement intelligence informing better outcomes for patients.

Reviewing Involvement across NHS Providers
The Worcestershire CCGs review engagement arrangements and practices across NHS providers and take action in response.
In January 2019 we asked each of the NHS providers across Worcestershire to complete a return and detail their engagement arrangements and activities. We were satisfied that patients were sufficiently involved in the organisations and will continue to work with our providers in 2020/21 to ensure this continues.
