Worcestershire Involvement Network

NHS Redditch & Bromsgrove, Wyre Forest and South Worcestershire Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) have set up a Worcestershire Involvement Network (WIN) that brings the public voice to the heart of the organisations. The WIN enables patients and the public to work together with us to better understand and help shape local health services.

The aim of the WIN is to give you the opportunity to:

  • Have your say and debate issues
  • Access up to date information about your CCGs
  • Help us improve the future local health services
  • Learn more about your areas of interest

We will contact members regularly with health news and opportunities to get involved.

Find out more and sign up here.

Patient Participation Groups

Patient Participation Groups (PPGs) support individual GP practices. Speak to your local GP Practice about joining your Patient Participation Group (PPG) to get involved with your local surgery.

The CCG runs a virtual network of PPGs to encourage communication and the sharing of best practice. The PPGs meet regularly and last met on 9 October 2019 to join the network please contact the Engagement Team using the contact details at the top of the page.

Patient Story

A patient story is where a patient describes their experience of healthcare in their own words.

By sharing your patient story you can help health care professionals to understand what was good, what was bad and what would make your experience better.

Tell us your story by following this link to a short survey or contact the Engagement Team using the contact details at the top of the page to book an appointment to meet with us.

Other ways to have your say

Care Opinion

Care Opinion is an independent website where patients can write about their experiences of local healthcare, whether it is good or bad. Healthcare commissioners and providers can respond to comments that are made and it enables them to make changes to services that improve the patient experience and outcomes.

For more information visit the Care Opinion website.

Healthwatch Worcestershire

Healthwatch Worcestershire collects and presents the views and experiences of local service users to local managers and decision makers in the Health and Social Care settings.

It takes an active part in the decision making process of the Health and Well Being Board and works closely with Clinical Commissioning Groups, local NHS Trusts and the Voluntary sector to ensure the decisions about priorities and services are based on the needs and experiences of local people.

It champions high quality choice and equality of access to health and social care for the people of Worcestershire and liaises with Healthwatch England and the Care Quality Commission on matters that are of concern about specific care providers, health or social care matters.

For more information visit the Healthwatch Worcestershire Website.

Voluntary and community sector organisations

We regularly ask local voluntary and community sector what they think of services for their clients as these patients may not wish to speak with us directly.

Local Voluntary and Community Organisations are welcome to get in touch with us at any time to share their feedback. Please contact the Engagement Team using the contact details at the top of the page.

Involvement with NHS Providers

The CCG reviews public involvement activity across its providers. We work with them and support their public involvement as our staff work together across the Sustainability Transformation Partnership and invite them to present their activities at our own Patient Advisory Group.

To get involved with the Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust please see their website and see their Annual Report for details of their engagement.

To get involved with the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust please see their website and see their Annual Report for details of their engagement.
